We have proudly operated a bin/dumpster rental business in both the Hamilton and Niagara regions for several years. Over these years, many of our clients have asked us similar questions. We have compiled a list of common questions and answers to assist you in getting an answer quickly. Please contact us directly if you have any questions about our bin rentals that are not answered here.
What's the difference between a dumpster rental and junk removal?
A dumpster rental is the drop off, usage and pick up of a dumpster. You fill it up at your convenience and we will take it away. A junk removal company is more expensive than doing it yourself and you have the bin for a short time while their crew loads it. When you do it yourself, you not only save money, you also won’t feel time pressured on deciding on the items you are wanting to dispose of.
What sizes of garbage dumpsters do you have for rent?
All kinds! Our dumpsters range in size from 14-20 cubic yards for mixed waste. We also have 7 cubic yard bins available for soil and concrete.
What size of dumpster bin should I rent?
This really depends on what you are disposing of. Indoor home renovations usually require larger bins like a 14 yard or a 20 yard bin, as the waste mostly consists of drywall, wood and other bulky rubbish. Smaller dumpster rentals such as 7 yard bins are used only for landscaping and the removal of soil, dirt and concrete.
One thing we do like to mention when choosing a bin size, keep in mind that our trash dumpsters cannot be overloaded. For safety reasons we are unable to transport an overloaded bin. You will have to pay an additional fee if your bin is overloaded when we arrive to pick it up and you will need to fix the load before we are able to remove the bin from your property.
Put simply, clean fill is just concrete, interlock, brick and block, dirt, soil, grass or asphalt. You may have noticed above that we mentioned the biggest bin we can offer for clean fill is the one that’s 7 cubic yards. This is simply because clean fill is too heavy to put into a larger bin.
It’s important to know that when filling a disposal bin with clean fill, it can’t contain any other type of material or we will reject the load and not pick it up till it’s corrected.

Mixed waste is easier to explain. It is any other types of rubbish except for cylinders, aerosol cans, tires or paint. These items are considered hazardous waste and can’t be put in our dumpsters.
If you’re renting a bin for a home renovation or construction project, you’re probably disposing of mixed waste.
Where can I take my hazardous waste?
Remember how we said we don’t accept hazardous waste? (we know you read that right?) If you have any of this type of waste, contact your city’s waste disposal centre, or visit their website to find out where to go.
Will the disposal bin damage my driveway?
We carefully lay long pieces of wood on your concrete driveway then we place the disposal bin onto them. This ensures the bin is safely on the wood and never touches your driveway. Asphalt driveways do not require wood as our bins are equipped with driveway friendly rollers. Customers may request boards on asphalt driveways if needed.
Do I need to be at my home or business when you drop off or pick up the waste bin?
No, we do not need you to be there when we are delivering or picking up the waste bin.
How much advance notice do you need for dumpster rental?
We would advise you to order two days ahead during the week, however we can also accommodate same day requests depending on availability. Please call us for same day requests to ensure the quickest turn around time.
Please give us a few days’ notice when booking a bin/dumpster rental around long weekends and holidays as these dates are quickly booked up.
What areas do you deliver disposal bins to?
See our disposal bin rental area for more details or give us a call to confirm that we service your area.
Are you environmentally friendly?
Absolutely! We take special care in deciding where to dump the disposal bins we pick up from you to make sure they recycle or reuse as much as possible. You would be surprised at the amount of rubbish and waste that can be reused or recycled. We make every effort to operate a green waste bin rental business because we care about our planet too.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, e-Transfer or Cash Deposit. A pre-authorization will be taken for credit card payments before pick up of a disposal bin. Charges will be applied when the job is completed.
